What it does
Sends urgent push notification to your phone when negative reviews are posted on G2, Trustpilot, or Google, enabling immediate response before damage spreads.
Why I recommend it
Negative reviews compound quickly – one bad review left unaddressed attracts more. Instant mobile alerts enable rapid, personal responses that can salvage situations and demonstrate responsiveness to prospects.
Expected benefits
- Sub-hour response to negative reviews
- Prevented review snowballs
- Demonstrated customer care
- Better review platform ratings
How it does
Review platforms monitored for new reviews -> sentiment analysis detects 1-2 star reviews or negative keywords -> immediately send push notification to phone with review excerpt, platform, reviewer name -> optionally draught response suggestions -> track response time.
Quick start
Set up Google Alerts for your brand + “review”. Manually check G2/Trustpilot daily for new reviews. Note response time for negatives. Then automate monitoring and instant mobile push for all negative reviews.
Level-up version
AI-generated response suggestions. Severity scoring (1-star + specific complaint words = critical). Route to appropriate responder (product issue to PM, support issue to CS lead). Include reviewer’s customer status. Track review edit/deletion after response. Cross-platform aggregation. Positive review celebrations too.
Tools you can use
Review monitoring: G2, Trustpilot, Google My Business APIs
Push notifications: Pushover, IFTTT, Zapier push
Sentiment: AI sentiment analysis
Automation: Zapier, Make, custom scripts
Analytics: Track response impact on rating
Also works with
Review platforms: Capterra, Yelp, Facebook reviews
Monitoring: ReviewTrackers, Birdeye, Podium
Response management: Reputation.com, ReviewPush
Technical implementation solution
- No-code: Zapier monitors review RSS feeds or webhooks -> filters for low ratings -> sends push notification via Pushover or IFTTT.
- API-based: Review platform webhooks or scheduled scraping -> sentiment analysis on review text -> if negative (rating <=2 or negative sentiment) -> send push via Pushover API with review details and customer info -> optionally draught response via AI -> track time-to-response.
Where it gets tricky
API availability for all review platforms (some don’t offer webhooks), handling fake/spam reviews, balancing urgency vs alert fatigue, ensuring mobile push actually wakes you up, and coordinating who responds.
