What it does
Enables Acuity customers to book multiple services in a single transaction, allowing them to schedule a full day of appointments or package services without multiple booking flows.
Why I recommend it
Forcing customers through separate booking flows for each service creates friction and abandoned bookings. One-transaction booking improves customer experience and increases average booking value.
Expected benefits
- Higher average booking value
- Better customer experience
- Reduced booking abandonment
- Easier package service sales
How it works
Customer views available services -> selects multiple services to book -> system checks availability for all selected services (sequential or concurrent based on settings) -> presents available time slots that accommodate all services -> customer completes one checkout -> receives confirmation for all bookings.
Quick start
Identify your most common service combinations (haircut + colour, massage + facial). Create service packages in Acuity. Test the multi-service flow. Promote packages to customers to drive adoption.
Level-up version
Suggest complementary services at booking (“customers who book X often add Y”). Bundle pricing for service combinations. Auto-schedule services sequentially with appropriate buffer time. Different staff for different services in package. Package expiration dates.
Tools you can use
Scheduling: Acuity Scheduling, Calendly (limited), Square Appointments
Payments: Stripe, Square, Acuity payments
Marketing: Email campaigns promoting packages
CRM: GoHighLevel for customer booking history
Also works with
Booking platforms: Setmore, SimplyBook.me, Booker
Packages: WellnessLiving, Mindbody for package management
E-commerce: WooCommerce Bookings for product + service bundles
Technical implementation solution
- No-code: Acuity package/class feature -> create multi-service packages -> set pricing and availability -> customers book packages directly.
- API-based: Custom booking interface -> Acuity API check availability for multiple services -> present combined timeslots -> create multiple appointments via API in single transaction -> process one payment -> send combined confirmation.
Where it gets tricky
Scheduling services that require different staff or resources, handling cancellations/rescheduling of multi-service bookings, managing buffer time between sequential services, and ensuring accurate pricing for package vs individual service pricing.
