What it does
Transcribes Teams/Zoom calls, highlights key decisions, action items, and blockers, then stores structured notes in Notion for easy reference.
Why I recommend it
Manual note-taking misses details. Automated summaries keep teams aligned and accountable, especially across time zones.
Expected benefits
- Clear action item tracking
- Faster onboarding for absentees
- Better knowledge base of decisions
- Less admin work for project leads
How it works
Recording saved to OneDrive/Drive -> speech-to-text service transcribes -> Claude summarizes by agenda sections, extracts tasks, owners, and deadlines -> pushes to Notion database and optionally emails participants.
Quick start
Upload a past recording to Otter or Teams transcription, copy the text to Claude with prompt “Summarize with decisions + actions”, and validate accuracy before automating.
Level-up version
Tag summaries to related OKRs, sync action items to ClickUp/Jira, and auto-create follow-up meetings if deadlines slip.
Tools you can use
Conferencing: Teams, Zoom, Meet
Transcription: Microsoft Cognitive Services, Otter.ai
Docs: Notion, Confluence
Automation: Zapier, Make, Workato
Also works with
Sales call summaries into CRM, training sessions into knowledge base.
Technical implementation solution
- No-code: Teams recording -> Power Automate -> OneDrive -> Claude summarization -> Notion page creation.
- API-based: Webhook on recording completion -> AWS Transcribe -> Claude -> Notion API -> Slack digest posted.
Where it gets tricky
Maintaining privacy compliance, ensuring meeting context is captured (agenda), handling multiple speakers names, and validating AI accuracy before sharing externally.
